Roger Williams University
Bristol, Rhode IslandOn the basis of our successful design of the new Dining Commons, RWU engaged Goody Clancy to develop the design for an important new academic building. This new, four-story building will occupy a prominent site facing Mount Hope Bay on one side, and completing the main campus green space on the other side. A bold curved form facing the quad leads to framed views of the bay, while a broad entrance allows glimpses into and through a three-story atrium at the heart of the building.
Relevant Project Information:
- The program includes eleven classrooms, a multimedia production studio, and faculty offices for several academic departments.
- The atrium will serve as a major campus public space for events, celebrations and exhibits.
- Building is designed to meet LEED Silver requirements.
