Burton Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies
Purdue University
West Lafayette, IndianaThis 35,000 SF business school facility was designed to bring together researchers from various disciplines working in Purdue’s new Discovery Park (master planned by Goody Clancy), encouraging the sharing of ideas and collaboration across disciplines. Jointly sponsored by the Krannert School of Management and the Engineering and Life Sciences Departments, the Entrepreneurial Center provides a meeting and incubator space for campus scientists, engineers, and technologists to collaborate with business entrepreneurs on commercial applications for university-sponsored research and university-based businesses.
Relevant Project Information:
- The Center gives Indiana citizens and businesses access to the University's commercially valuable research.
- As a primary outreach component of the Discovery Park campus, the Center houses key public spaces, including conference and presentation rooms, a café, and an ensemble of common areas designed to promote spontaneous, informal interaction.
- The building functions as the front door to this research precinct on the west side of the campus, and sets the design tone for Discovery Park.
- A series of walkways and bridges will connect the Center to adjacent research buildings.
