Goody Clancy President David Spillane has been inducted into the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) College of Fellows. This prestigious honor affirms David’s legacy of excellence and long-lasting impacts on the planning profession, as well as his significant contributions to inspiring generations of future planners through teaching and mentoring, research, and public and community service.
Though he began his career as an architect, David’s interest ultimately expanded beyond the design of individual buildings to encompass the broader economic, social, and political forces that shape entire cities, urban regions, and campuses. His masterful ability to unite diverse stakeholder groups in a shared vision has created more vibrant, sustainable, and equitable communities. His accomplishments in this field have been recognized through more than 30 planning awards, including 12 national awards from organizations including the American Planning Association (APA), the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Congress for New Urbanism (CNU), and the Waterfront Center.
Since joining Goody Clancy in 2000, our firm has benefited immeasurably from David’s professional expertise and steadfast leadership. Congratulations, David, on your well-earned Fellowship.
